For: Student, Lecturer, Student affairs
Students sign roll calls only from their registered phone. When the phone changes, the old registration is removed and the new phone is recognised on its first signature.

Short answer
The student removes the old phone on the web panel’s QR device tab or on “My Attendance Device” in the mobile app. The first successful signature in the next roll call binds the new phone. There are 2 changes per term; after that, the lecturer can grant one more with a written reason, recorded in the audit log.
See the registered device
The registered phone shows under “QR Device Management” in the web account settings and on “My Attendance Device” in the mobile app. Trying to sign from a new phone opens “This device can’t sign”, showing the registered device and the remaining changes.
Remove the old device
Press “Remove Registered QR Device” and confirm. Each removal uses one change; a student has 2 changes per term.
Sign from the new phone
In the next roll call, the first successful signature binds the new phone to the account. An unsuccessful attempt does not bind a phone.
Out of changes? Ask the lecturer
With no changes left, removal is refused. The ask-your-instructor button in the mobile app prepares a support request that carries both devices’ details.
The lecturer grants a change
In the student detail the lecturer presses “Grant device right”, writes a reason of 5 to 500 characters and confirms. The student gets one extra change for this term.
Student affairs can grant too
Student affairs uses the device tab in the student detail to add one change or “Reset term quota”. The reason, at least 5 characters, appears in the audit log.
Good to know
- The change allowance renews on its own at the start of every term.
- Changing phones does not require a visit to student affairs; the student removes the old device alone.
- A lecturer can only grant an extra change to a student enrolled in their own course who has no changes left.
You do not need the old phone. Remove it from the QR device tab on the web panel or from “My Attendance Device” in the app on your new phone.
