For: Lecturer, Student affairs
Once the class hour is over, a roll call is not edited directly; a request is filed. The lecturer says what happened, and student affairs approves, rejects or returns it.

Short answer
The lecturer opens “New request” and picks what happened: signatures missing, opening the roll call late, class not held, or a make-up class. They write a reason, optionally attach a document such as a paper sign-in sheet, and submit. Student affairs for the course’s unit approves, rejects or returns it; an approved correction is applied in the same step.
Press “New request”
Press “New request” on the lecturer’s requests page. Requests can also be filed from the attendance requests screen in the mobile app.
Say what happened
Pick “signatures missing” if the roll call was opened but some signatures are missing, or “open late” if the class was held but no roll call was opened. Pick “class not held” if it did not take place, or “make-up” if it moves to another day.
Mark the missing students
For a correction, pick the roll call and press “Add signature” on the missing student’s row; a wrong signature is taken out with “Remove signature”. The correction link in the roll call history brings the course and roll call preselected.
Add a reason and document
Write a short reason and, if you like, attach a document such as a paper sign-in sheet as a PDF or image of up to 15 MB. A make-up needs the day, start and end time; if the board decision date and number are not at hand, student affairs enters them on approval.
Press “Submit”
The request moves to “awaiting student affairs approval” and shows on the pending tab. You can open it and withdraw it before a decision is made.
Student affairs decides
The request lands in the attendance request or make-up request queue under requests and approvals. Student affairs approves it, rejects it with a note of at least 10 characters, or returns it to the lecturer with a note.
Follow the result
An approved correction is applied to the roll call in the same step. A returned request lands on the returned tab and is fixed and resubmitted; an approved make-up lets the lecturer open a single make-up roll call.
Good to know
- Nobody can decide on their own request, system administrators included.
- Every step of a request is written to its history; these records cannot be changed or deleted.
- A make-up is only for a class that was not held. A late-enrolled student’s attended week is added with a correction request.
- How make-up roll calls are opened is an institution setting; the default flow is a request approved by student affairs.
If the roll call was opened but signatures are missing, file a correction. If the class was held but no roll call could be opened at all, ask for permission to open it late.
